REVOmedia History and Hype!

REVOmedia Productions is a full service state-of-the-Art 'Fleming' audio production facility specializing in voicing and producing long and short form programming, broadcast imaging, commercials and promos for advertisers and broadcast entities nationwide (see that ever expanding client list).

The Studio has WAV, MP3 FTP transfer capability, digital work stations and a full sound effects library.

Owner, Dale Reeves (AKA "The Voiceman") has an extensive background in broadcasting and advertising voicework and writing about himself, at great length, in the third person.

Now, isn't that enough self-serving crap. No? Really? You actually have nothing better to do? Well, turn down that Ipod and read on.

Dale was heard coast-to-coast on Sirius Sattelite Radio from it's launch through it's first 3 years. He was the Imaging voice for their Classic Country and had shows on two of their six country channels. Due to the dubious magic of voicetracking he was actually on the air seven days a week from his home studio.

That job was Dale's last full-time on-air gig so if you happen to have a CREATIVE opening he will consider any reasonable offer. Talk radio, Eclectic music and funny morning shows are his specialties. If you have ISDN equipment, Dale can be your out-of-town (but sounds like he's right there in the studio) live guest-host. "Go ahead caller. I'm listening and you're wrong!"

Dale's writing, producing and comedy performing skills have won Broadcast and ADDY awards as well as an EMMY nomination. Not the award - just the nomination. He was defeated in the writer - performer category by a guy who dresses up like Ben Franklin. Dale dressed up like a fat Elvis. If the awards had been held in Memphis instead of Boston he might have had a shot.

His announcer styles and character voices are heard daily on network programming and national commercials and in films and television shows. (He just got another residual for his work in the Beavis and Butt-head movie (Mike Judge was cool and easy to work with) - done over ten years ago. Dale played Bill Clinton. Thank goodness for that constant cable play.

If you're still reading this, now might be a good time to grab a snack.

Dale has done voice work for television shows as diverse as the Wall Street Journal Report, Saturday Night Live, the Doug cartoon Show,(nice people) Late Night with Conan O'Brien (not so nice people) and ABC Sports. He has also narrated technical and instructional business videos for corporations like Parke Davis, Xerox and British Airways.

Get the picture? Dale can do whatever read you need - serious or funny - just show him the money. OK, ok, you're right, he can't do those cute little girly voices in some un-American language.

The Early Years:
Inspired by listening to radio legend Adam Jones, Dale began his broadcast career in his hometown of Louisville, KY working for WLRS-WINN-WKLO-WAKY and later in Indianapolis at WIFE, Miami at WGBS, Cleveland at WJW, Chicago at WGCI (Doug Banks worked weekends then and still owes Dale the ten dollars he borrowed), Detroit at WDEE and in New York as morning host, and Program Director of WKTU-FM. As PD he won the highest ratings for the decade of the 80's. Really, look it up. It was an 8.3 in the 1980 fall ARB. That foretold the end of pop music on AM radio.

While in New York, Dale also did stand up comedy at the Improv, Catch a rising Star, and appeared in three off-Broadway plays. He met Woody Allen (who nodded) and Lorne Michaels (who seemed annoyed) and Leonard Nimoy (who was logical) and Robin Williams (who was short). He also did character voice work for Saturday Night Live (Eddie Murphy era) and hosted the barely-noticed breakthrough cable show "Taste Bud's...What!" featuring cult humorist and social critic Robert Bottone.

Will this page never end? My eyes are killing me.

In 1983, he teamed up with the Real Bob James (now Professor Robert Pondillo) to form one of America's most successful radio comedy syndication services, the American Comedy Network. As Vice President in charge of lookin' out the window, Dale wrote and performed characters heard on over 300 stations. Five years later, while radio was becoming increasingly enamored with smutty conversations and stunt-monkey hi-jinx devoid of real humor, Dale decided to try his own on-air thing again. He hosted highly rated morning shows on WRKI and WKCI in Connecticut before Nashville came calling. While there he did new country shows on WSIX and WSM-FM and talk radio on WWTN.The first week he was there he met Garth Brooks so the rest was downhill. Trisha Yearwood was very nice and Marty Stuart was cool too.

The digital revolution allowed Dale to move REVOmedia Productions South to Florida where he continued doing voicework for clients worldwide while counting pelicans and riding his motorcycle. Now (2007) he has returned to Connecticut and is serving a select clientel, creating new radio formats and is working on a novel. Working Title: "WHO KILLED RADIO"
